Drawer Boxes

The software supports the design, display and manufacture of drawer boxes. Drawer boxes can be stand alone items or can be made part of a cabinet.

Drawer boxes work similar to doors in that first you design and save them as a file and then use the saved designs. There are three areas in the software where saved drawer boxes are used:

-                  They can be automatically installed along with drawer fronts in the Door/Drawer Editor. In this case they are part of the cabinet and automatically resize with the cabinet.

-                  They can be installed directly in a cabinet opening without a corresponding drawer front using the Drawer Box Editor. In this case they are part of the cabinet and automatically resize with the cabinet. Note that the fronts of the drawer boxes can be inset so that a door can be installed in front of the drawer stack.

-                  Drawer boxes can be loaded into the Cabinet/Assembly Editor or into Custom Layout as a Display Item. In this case, they are not part of a cabinet and even if you associate them with a cabinet they will not resize when the cabinet size is changed.

This can get a little confusing so you might want to make sure you understand the above before proceeding. If the drawer box is installed with a drawer front in the Door/Drawer Editor or if it is installed directly into the cabinet box using the Add Drawer Box Editor, it becomes part of the cabinet and resizes automatically when the cabinet size changes. If it is used as a Display Item it does not resize.
